(Music) Hello everybody,
welcome to the Microsoft Azure
Administrator AZ104 course.
I'm Adam Gordon, an edutainer
here at ITProTV and ACI
Learning and your success guide
for our journey together to
help you understand what you
need to do to be successful at
taking and passing the AZ
exam. In our course, we're
going to be covering the five
major topic blocks that
Microsoft has outlined for this
current version of the AZ104
exam. Join me here, you'll take
a look and see them. We're on
the Microsoft landing page for
the AZ104 exam and you can go
and check this out directly
with Microsoft at any time.
But you'll see them here
starting at the top, managing
Azure identities and
governance, implementing and
managing storage, applying and
managing Azure compute
resources, configuring and
managing virtual networking.
And of course, what good
conversation, any conversation
for that matter, about Azure
would be complete. Let's talk
about how to monitor and of
course maintain all those Azure
resources. Regardless of what
topic block we're going to be
taking a look at, regardless of
the weighting associated with
them on the exam, we'll be
going through methodically
taking a look at all of the
various subtopics and skills
that Microsoft has outlined,
recommends you are aware of,
and I will explain how those
things work, what they are used
for, and then of course how you
can deploy them and use them at
scale in your Azure
environments. Whether it is,
for instance, in managing Azure
identities and governance,
the use of and the creation of
custom roles or built-in roles
under the RBAC, Role-Based
Access Control Model, whether
it is in the implementing and
managing storage area, the use
of storage accounts and the
different storage services that
we can access. There are four,
by the way. You know what they
are. If you don't,
certainly find out as we
continue talking about them in
the actual episodes in the
course, whether it's deploying
and managing Azure compute
resources like virtual machines
and or perhaps configuring and
managing virtual networking and
deploying VNets, subnets, load
balancers, and application
gateways as part of that
thought process, and of course
using the various monitoring
capabilities, whether it's
Azure Monitor and or Network
Watcher, as well as recovery
services capabilities like
recovery services vaults and
backup vaults. To be able to
monitor and maintain Azure
resources, I've got you covered
with all the skills, all of the
know-how, and of course all of
the how-tos. We'll have
hands-on demonstrations, make
sure those hands are ready,
and lots of time and
opportunity for us to discuss
and to integrate that knowledge
as we make our way and create
our journey and chart a path in
a course through the AZ
material. I
look forward to spending that
time with you. I've been
working with Microsoft
Technologies well since almost
the very beginning of those
technologies, and I love the
opportunity to spend time with
our members showing you how to
make sense of complicated
technology and put it to work
for you both in the real world
as well as on the exam where
you want to practice those
skills. I've got to do two
things before we can get to
that. Finish talking about them
here and go get ready to do it
in the actual course. I invite
you to join me there as soon as
you're ready and when you are.
I look forward to spending that
journey and that time with you
as we both partner together to
create success for you on the
AZ104 exam. Until then, I wish
you good luck. I look forward
to seeing you in those upcoming
episodes and when you're ready,
please stop watching the
overview and join me as we
start our journey into the
AZ104 course. Take care,
everybody.
Thank you for watching
ITProTV.
