Cyber Security Specialist Program

While there are no required prerequisites, students should have some experience working with computer networks and may find certifications such as CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ beneficial.

  • Understanding hard disks and file systems

  • Windows forensics

  • Data acquisition and duplication

  • Recovering deleted files and deleted partitions

  • Forensics investigations using AccessData FTK

  • Forensics investigations using EnCase

  • Steganography and image file forensics

  • Application password crackers

  • Log capturing and event correlation

  • Investigating wireless and web attacks

  • Tracking emails and investigating email crimes

Prerequisites:

  • Certified Ethical Hacker –or–

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP

  • Information systems and security background

  • 12 months of experience in cyber security technologies
